We are pleased to announce the upcoming release of VolunteerMatters. These updates while extremely helpful will not substantial change the system's interface so there's no "training" required. We just want to make sure you know these features are now available to you. There is nothing you need to do to receive these improvements and they are all included, depending on your subscription. On Wednesday 12/12/12 there will be a number of system improvements including the following highlights:
Committees/Placements:
- Placements page view will now hide inactive Committees
- The Current Placement Filter will now include Parent Committee Name
Site Users/System Access:

- On Site User List View: You will be able to filter on Contact fields
- Bulk Add Site Users will be now using the Contact Chooser
- Admin Segment name will be available as a column/filter in site user list views (VolunteerMatters Enterprise)
Volunteering:

Placements page view will now hide inactive Committees
Previously on the Placements page, where you could place individual contacts into committee seats for a particular period of time, those committees who that were marked inactive were still visible on the page. While you could not add placements to those inactive committees, this caused some confusion amongst administrators. Now when a committee is marked inactive it will no longer be visible on the placements page, allowing for a much cleaner page. Click here for more information... |

The Current Placement Filter will now include Parent Committee Name

In the past, when utilizing the 'Placements' field as a filter criterion when defining a List View or working within the Advanced Find, you were limited to the following placement attributes: |
Bulk management of site user roles and access (and admin segmentation for VolunteerMatters Enterprise)
Previously you could only change a single site user record's access roles and status (active vs. inactive) manually one at a time. This new functionality will allow an administrator with the proper privileges to set the roles, the site user record status, and for enterprise customers, the admin contact segmentation for all site user records returned in the current list view.

On Site User List View: You will be able to filter on Contact fields

When creating Site User Record list views, you were previously limited to Site User Record fields such as Roles, Created On, Last Login, etc. Now you will be able to filter Site User Record list views on any Contact fields, whether they are built-in or custom. Click here for more information... |
Bulk Add Site Users will be now using the Contact Chooser
Previously you could only add Site User Records in bulk by 'Status'. Meaning any record that was of the status selected and did not already have a site user record, had a site user record created. Now you can utilize the contact chooser in creating site users in bulk as opposed to simply by status. There are cases where an administrator may not wish all records of a specific status have site user records. The chooser could allow another contact or custom field as the identifier when creating new site user records. Click here for more information... |

With the latest VolunteerMatters software release, "Admin Segmentation" is now available as a list view column and filter criteria for the Site User Record page list views. |
Collapsible fields for calendar properties search on calendar screen and list view
Now when viewing the Volunteer Calendar page with multiple calendars, the listing of calendars available to view is now a collapsible field to allow a clean, more easy to navigate look. When you first view the page the calendar will be collapsed by default. You will need to click the "+" to expand the list. Click here for more information... |

Giving Interactions have separate tab on My Profile and Contact Detail

For those organizations with Giving Interactions, they have been removed from the Interaction tab and have been given their own tab similar to the Volunteering tab. This will allow an administrator to create List Views for Giving Interactions via the Giving Interactions List page that will be reflected on the Contact Detail Giving Interactions tab. While an administrator can add system wide "my profile" giving interactions tab list views right there on the page. |
