The URL for specific Volunteer Shifts/Opportunities with the VolunteerMatters Volunteer Calendar are obtained by logging into your VolunteerMatters system and navigating to the calendar (https://www.volunteermatters.net/vm/member/shift/my/VolunteerShiftCalendar.do) and then clicking on a shift in the calendar. That URL in your address bar will be similar to this:
https://www.volunteermatters.net/vm/member/shift/my/ShiftView.do?shiftid=XXXXXX
That is all you will need to deep link to a specific shift from outside the system via your website or an email.
Because usernames are unique across all VolunteerMatters deployments you will only need to advertise that URL, as your volunteers will be automatically directed to your VolunteerMatters system and the shift in question in your calendar.
